In our Library Learning Commons, we have a seasonal Seed Library.  Students participate in cleaning, packing, and labelling seeds.  Then, each student can take seed packages for the spring to plant them or share them with a family member or friend who wants to garden.  In the fall, students collect the seeds from their plants, and return them to the library to start the cycle again.  If the plants don't grow or make it to seed, just try again next year!
